Interview After Practice
Hermie Sadler: Well, I’ve got Joey Logano, got two practices under you’re belt, looks like you are right up front both practices, this car looks pretty good.
Joey Logano: Yeah, home depot Toyota it’s really good. Coming here for the second time, it helped alot. So, I am pretty excited, you know we can run the bottom decent, run the top pretty good, in race trim. In qualifying trim we struggled at first, then we got some speed in it too, so might have a shot at the pole with this thing too.
Hermie Sadler: We see alot of guys running all over this race track, which is different from year’s past but, everybody seems to think, when it comes to winning time, you’ve got to be around the bottom of the race track so, what did you guys work on in practice to improve that?
Joey Logano: Yeah, I mean pretty much at the bottom, I’ve watched you know the race last year, and guys that win the race are always on the bottom. Most everywhere we go, there always on the bottom. So I think you’ve got to focus there but, this place is tough to pass, especially someone that’s running the top side so, you’ve gotta have you’re car working on both ends and top and bottom, and this place is as much as it looks the same on each corner, it’s actually quite a bit different so, it’s a little bit of a balancing game on what you want in your race car. So, you know, Zippy is doing a great job here with the Home Depot Toyota, and I think we’ll be alright.

Post Qualifying Interview
Dave Burns: And Joey Logano, getting some credit from his team here, what was it like to qualify this car, and pick up as much time as you did?
Joey Logano: Yeah everyone seemed to pickup alot, I just gotta figure out how to beat the old man up there, he’s pretty good so, I don’t know the Home Depot Toyota is pretty good just, we got loose, I felt like I gave up alot of speed off two, I about knocked down the fence so, I’ll take it I was surprised it was that fast actually so, guys doing great this week, I’ll tell ya we unloaded with a good race car, coming here for the second time really helps so, just fortunate with a good team, and having fun.
