Setting up for the 2010 Budweiser Shootout
Today the boys were back on track as they prepared for the 2010 Budweiser Shootout at the Daytona International Speedway. There were two practice sessions and a Budweiser Shootout Selection Show to determine the starting order for the Budweiser shootout race that will be aired on FOX, Saturday February 6th, 2010 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
There is one sour note to say about the first practice session today. Contact between the 5 of Mark Martin, and the 11 of Denny Hamlin caused a big crash, and the number 20 of Joey Logano caught a piece of it. Check out the video below of the incident.
Practice Results
| Session | Ranked | Sponsor | Best Speed | Best Time |
| First Practice | 9 | Home Depot Toyota | 191.123 | 47.090 |
| Second Practice | 10 | Home Depot Toyota | 191.034 | 47.112 |
Budweiser Shootout Selection Show
Since Joey Logano is not 21 years old, much similar to last year’s Budweiser Shootout Selection someone else had to pick the bottle for Joey. Gregg Zippadeli took the honors again and picked the 21st position, after making the pick Greg made the mention that it was that number, the age that Joey needs to come up to the stage by himself to pick up his own bottle. Joey Logano later replied with, “21 means 21″.

JOEY IS THE MAN, DROVE RIGHT OUT OF TWO TIGHT SPOTS, THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE GREAT FUN, AND WOULD BET HE MAKE THE CHASE THIS YEAR. SEE U N NASHVILLE AGAIN THIS YEAR JOEY.
