A total of two practice sessions were scheduled for today at the Martinsville Speedway. The two practice sessions were pivotal as teams only had today in order to test their cars for Sunday’s Goody’s Fast Relief 500 and tomorrow’s qualifying session.

Logano was second fastest in the first practice session, behind his teammate Kyle Busch. In the final practice session unfortunately Logano wrecked, and the team quickly began to unload the back up car. The Home Depot Racing team along with the help of the other Joe Gibbs Racing teams quickly went to work to get the back up car ready for practice. They were successful in preparing the back up car, and Logano was back on track with about 30 minutes remaining in the final practice session.
