Joey Logano Crown Royal 400 Results

Joey Logano started the Crown Royal 400 from the 9th position. Logano was the highest qualifying Joe Gibbs Racing car on the grid. As the race began, Logano battled a tight in the center and loose off condition. The Home Depot Racing team would make adjustments to the chassis throughout the race.

On Lap 255, while running in the 18th position Logano got turned by the lap down car of Jimmie Johnson. The 48 car of Johnson had trouble getting into turn 1 and ended up hitting Logano, spinning the number 20 into the wall. Logano suffered alot of left rear damage to the car. The Home Depot Racing team would come onto pit road several times to make repairs to the number 20 machine.

Logano would take the final restart of the race on lap 313, which would setup a fuel mileage race to the finish. Zipadelli told Logano to save a little fuel prior to the restart. Joey had enough to go to the end, and would finish the race in the 11th position. With the finish, Logano moves up three positions in the driver standings, currently is in the 21st position.

“I honestly don’t know what to say about that race,” said Logano. “The Home Depot Toyota was so beat up I’m not really sure how we finished 11th. To have a night like that and finish 11th, I’ll take it. I don’t know what happened with the No. 48 car, but I’m proud of everyone for hanging in there, never giving up and their hard work paid off in the end.”

Next week it’s onto the Darlington Raceway where Logano has a total of two starts, and an average finishing position of 18.

I’m sorry Jimmy Johnson hit you into the wall. I believe he would run his own mother down just to get where he wants to go. He should apologize to you. I no longer like JJ after what he did to you. Good luck next week at Darlington, Joey. I will be cheering for you. Take care.
