Only two practice sessions were scheduled this weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup series. Both the practice sessions were run today in preparation tomorrow’s qualifying session and Sunday’s Aaron’s 499. Results along with photos from today’s sessions are posted below.

Aaron’s 499 Practice Results

Final practice started, and just as quickly it was stopped. It started raining at Talladega, and the red flag waved as the weather had its way. NASCAR would eventually cancel the practice session. Logano and teammate Denny Hamlin had completed one lap when the rains started pouring. Only eight drivers were able to post a time during the final practice session.
