Pre-Race Comments

Hermie Sadler: I do have Joey Logano standing by, Joey obviously you did alot of short track racing threw the years, getting experience to get to this level, anything you’ve ever been on compare to Bristol Motor speedway?

Joey Logano: Yeah you know quite a bit, I mean it’s still a short track, Bristol is a beast of its own pretty much, with the high banks, you still got alot of speed so its fun, I ran here when it was the old concrete, it’s quite a bit different, but its still alot of fun. I think we’ve got a good home depot Toyota today, we practiced pretty good, starting 23rd and hopefully finish this thing and keep it in the top 35.

Hermie Sadler: I was going to say, you are 33rd right now and got a decent qualifying, you’ve got an experienced crew chief in Greg Zipadelli, how do you balance between wanting to get that win, and get up front but also knowing that you need a good solid top 10 – top 15 to keep those points.

Joey Logano: Yeah for sure that’s definitely what we need and here staying out of the wrecks is going to be one of the biggest deals here, it’s Bristol, half the time you can’t do nothing about it, we are going to try to get a good solid top 20 at least, and keep working on our points.

Hermie Sadler: Joey Logano the education of him begins today here at Bristol, hes got a little experience here, but today could be a big day to maybe springboard him to move up in the points.
