Daytona 500 Qualifying Result

Qualifying works different for the Daytona 500. Drivers qualify traditionally, however only the top 2 qualifiers keep their positions. The rest of the drivers who’s qualifying spots are not locked in, participate in the Gatorade Duels, to see where they will lineup for the Daytona 500 Race. Joey Logano was in the first Gatorade Duel race. He finished 4th in the Daytona Gatorade Duel, this meant he would start from the 9th position. However, since Tony Stewart had to go to a backup car, Joey Logano would be moved up on the grid to the 7th position.
