The Coca Cola 600 was originally scheduled to run on Sunday beginning at 5 pm Eastern time. on FOX TV. However, mother nature prevented the race from starting, and it was rescheduled for today Monday, 25, 2009 beginning at noon Eastern time. Again though… rain was in the area… and prevented the race from running the full 600 miles. Instead they were able to get in a race total of 227 laps which is equivalent to 340.5 miles. And yes… the race is official over now. As all NASCAR races can be called off for rain and be called official once they pass the half way point of the race.

Steve Byrnes: With Joey Logano, his team mate Denny Hamlin just did nudge him out of third position, tell us about your qualifying run.

Joey Logano: I just screwed up, I don’t know what I was thinking. I got out of the nationwide car and I just drove into one too shallow, completely my fault, I thought I had alot better Home Depot Toyota than that. The bright side is at least I got a better car than that. So I am happy about that, well see what we can do in Happy hour, and see if we can get the car a little bit better. But well see where it ends up, I am sure it aint going to be that good but well have to see.
