Post Qualifying Interview

Vince Welch: What can you find from the qualifying run you had today?

Joey Logano: Well at least we know the Home Depot Toyota is better in race trim it felt like, we ran about 4 race runs earlier today we were pretty good with those. Our qualifying package wasn’t really good and it kind of after practice we looked at some things and noticed my lines a little bit different in 1 and 2 than most so I brought down my line entry into one and you know hopefully that worked. There’s alot more bumps down there and the bumps got the nose balanced and it ended up locking up the left front and kind of slid us up the race track so, you know it’s one of those things you wish you could take it back and change it up a little bit but I am sure everyone says the same thing so it is what it is at this point and you go to sleep and you work on this thing tomorrow for Sunday.

Vince Welch: Alot of the veterans even talk about the nuisances and the characteristics of this racetrack and there’s alot of em out there in this one mile track, and from a rookie stand point do you feel there is big learning curve with this racetrack?

Joey Logano: Yeah there is alot of things going on, I mean yeah it’s ugh a pretty slick racetrack and you know you are working on getting your run off the corner and turning and one thing I did feel like we did kind of had under control was getting off the corner, we got off the corner decent, just we gotta figure out how to get threw one and two, three and four seems like most of the cars are closer, I feel like we are pretty good over there just feel like our speeds in one and two. Well have to figure out a couple things, our nationwide line doesn’t work too good in the cup cars.
