Qualifying Results
Vince: Joey Logano, well assess that 18th that popped up.
Joey Logano: Yeah.. I was tight off the corner and then it snapped right before I got to the fence, and just trying to get a bunch of speed, just scrapped the fence up a little bit, that wasn’t a big deal but, just felt like we gave up alot of speed off of two. I just got tight..tight shoving all the way up the race track, never got back down to the bottom, and I don’t know we’ll just have to work on it.
Vince: Yeah you’re first time here, what’s your impression of it?
Joey Logano: Oh it’s a cool racetrack, it’s fun, I just gotta figure out the rest of it.
Vince: He will be the youngest ever starter in the Brickyard.

Post Race Interview
Shannon: After starting in the back of the field because of an engine change, Joey Logano comes away with a 12th place finish, but we were just talking about it, you’re not 100% satisfied why not?
Joey Logano: I think we had a better car, than where we finished but, you know that will happen when you start in the back at a place that is so hard to pass, you know, so we did everything we could do with the home depot Toyota you know we just, seemed like we were really good on the restarts, and then as laps kept going even if you were a little bit faster, by the time you got there, you’re car get tight and then you’d burn the right front of, and then everyone is the same so, you know cautions would of been perfect for us, to maybe do some pit strategy or even the restarts like I said we were real good at that so, o well, I mean we were still come 12th place finish, it’s a decent finish for where we started, and well head to the next race track.
Shannon: Joey most rookies don’t get the opportunity to run with all of the leaders in the top 10, top 12, battle with Montoya, a two thousand five hundred winner, what was that like for you, what did you learn today?
Joey Logano: It was fun, I tell ya, it’s really cool racing with Juan, and stuff we were running out there, we were running hard so, that was fun you know but, just being around this race track, and getting around it and you know saying you know what I got a good race car, if I was up there maybe I would have a shot at this thing, you know that’s pretty neat, I just think clean air would have been big, but you know well go to the next one, you know what I mean, it’s just, a little tough when you start in the back.
