Joey is headed to the land of movie stars, TV shows, sun, sand, surf and one of the nicest tracks in all of the Sprint Cup circuit… Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway). Joey will make his debut on the track this weekend, pulling double-duty in both the Cup and Nationwide Series races.

Nationwide Series Schedule

When do they practice?

The nationwide series will have it’s first practice session be televised on SPEED tv at 12:30 pm Eastern time. The final practice session will come later in the day, at 8:30 pm eastern time, and that will be on SPEED TV as well. It will be this Friday, February 20th, 2009.

When do they Qualify?

The next day on Saturday, February 21st, 2009 at 12:30 PM Eastern time.

What about the race?

The race will be airing on ESPN 2, beginning at 7 pm Eastern time, on Saturday, February 21st, 2009.

Sprint Cup Series Schedule

When do they practice?

The sprint cup series is current scheduled to do one practice session on Friday, that is before they qualify. The Friday practice session will be televised on SPEED TV, and can be seen at 3 to 4:30 pm Eastern time, while the Happy Hour will be run the next day on Saturday, February 21st at 5 until 7pm Eastern time, and that will also be on Speed TV.

What About Qualifying?

The qualifying session will air on speed at 6:30 pm eastern time, you can catch the replay at 11 pm Eastern time, if you miss the qualifying session.

When is the Sprint Cup Race?

The race coverage is currently set for February 22, 2009, which is this Sunday. FOX will be airing the race starting at 6 pm Eastern time, while it’s prerace show will begin at 5pm Eastern time.
