Prelude to the Dream at Eldora Results

Joey Logano and Tony Stewart TalkingThis was Joey’s first race on dirt and his inexperience led to a rocky start. While running in the 3rd position in his heat race, he clipped the wall exiting turn 2, tearing the spoiler off resulting in a crash entering turn 3 ending the race early in the #20 Home Depot Toyota. But that crash wasn’t the end to Joey’s day, his friend, former teammate, and mentor, Tony Stewart let Joey drive the #14L in the 30-lap A-Main. Joey was able to take about five to six laps prior to the start of the main event to feel out the car and elected to start at the rear of the field. After starting last Joey was moving up through the field until a lap 14 incident with Robby Gordon ended his night prematurely in the #14L JD Byrider Chevrolet resulting in a 20th place finish.

Not only was it your experience w/a dirt track, it was mine too and you made it very exciting! Okay, so I hated seeing you clip the wall-argh! But you recovered well, Joey! Finishing 19th isnt bad, considering everything. I hope it hasn’t turned you dirt racing cuz it was just sick! You completely rocked it! Keep it up!
