And this year, Joey Logano is back to the Irwindale to defend his win. Last time at the event, Logano led the last 87 laps, and battled hard with Peyton Sellers in a green white checked finish. Here is what Logano had to say about his race run in 2007: “In the beginning of the race, we weren’t a bolt of lightning, We made a couple of changes and got it to the front. It was exciting.”

Although the date has been changed and moved to January, it will still be the same glorious All Star Event. There will be no points on the line when the drivers are at Irwindale Speedway a 1/2 mile oval track located in Irwindale, California. The track itself is a paved track, with 6,9, and 12 degrees of progressive banking.

Here is what Joey Logano had to say about the upcoming event. “I can’t wait to get back into a race car, It has been a while and I’m just getting antsy to race. It is going to be great to get back on track at the Showdown.”
