Kansas Weekend Preview
Joey Logano will have a busy weekend, this weekend as he has a racing schedule from Friday to Sunday as Joey Logano will be doing double duty in the NASCAR Sprint cup and nationwide series. Today’s events are over, but this blog post will outline what has gone down today, and what to expect for the weekend.
Sprint Cup Friday Run down
In the NASCAR sprint cup series, Joey Logano is running the number 96 DLP HDTV Toyota Camry this weekend.
During the practice session, Logano was 39th fastest on the sheet, with a time of 32.075. Logano shined when it came time to qualify the car into the show. He qualified in the 29th position, one position behind his teammate Kyle Busch. Logano clocked in at a time of 31.910, which was .05 seconds slower than Kyle Busch. A very impressive lap by Logano.
Nationwide Series
On the nationwide side, Joey Logano is sporting a new paint scheme, Gamestop Fable II Paint Scheme. Today there was only practice sessions for the nationwide series. Two to be exact.
In the first practice session, Logano was in 14th place, with a fastest time of 32.674. In the final practice session, Logano made some gains, and was the 10th fastest on the speed chart, with a fastest time of 32.371.
Nationwide Series Weekend Preview
They will qualify on Saturday, and you can catch the qualifying session on Speed TV, starting at 11:30 am eastern time. The qualifying session on tv, will be on a tape delay. The qualifying order is already set, and Logano will be the eight car to roll out onto the track for a qual time. The draw number he got for qualifying is very good, because the qualifying session will be in the morning, and the earlier the draw the better.
The race will air on ESPN 2, on the same day, starting at 3 pm Eastern time.
Sprint Cup Series Weekend Preview
There are still 3 more sessions left on the sprint cup side of things. Two practice sessions, and then race day.
The two practice sessions will be held on Saturday, and you can catch the first of the practice sessions on Speed TV, starting at 12:30 pm eastern time. The final practice session will air on ESPN 2, on a tape delay, starting at 6:30 pm eastern time.
The Camping World RV 400 Nascar Sprint cup race, will air on sunday, starting at 1 pm eastern time on ABC.
