Going into today’s race, Joey Logano was the highest qualifying Joe Gibbs racing car. He qualified in the lucky number 13 spot. While his teammates Denny Hamlin qualified in the 18th, and Kyle Busch in the 19th position.
Logano at one point was running in the top 5, but at the end of the day, Logano came home in another solid top 10 position, 9th position to be exact. This is Logano’s 10th top ten finish of the year, out of a total of 14 career starts in the nationwide series. Logano’s teammate Denny Hamlin would go onto win the race, while his other teammate Kyle Busch finished in the 35th position. With Hamlin’s win, it makes for the 17th win of the season for the Joe Gibbs organization as a whole in the nationwide series. Denny Hamlin also led 99 laps, the most laps, to take the win at Kansas, marking his fourth win of the year. With that win, it was also a special occasional as Toyota has now clinched the manufacturer points.
Joey Logano Next Race
As far as the nationwide is concerned, the next race for Joey Logano will not be next week, as the nationwide series has the week off. However, Joey will be back racing in the nationwide series on October 10th, at Lowe’s Motor speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The race will air on ESPN 2, starting at 7:30 pm eastern time.
In the sprint cup, tomorrow he will be racing at Kansas, marking his second start in the sprint cup series. As far as the sprint cup race is concerned, you can catch that on ABC starting at 1 pm Eastern time.
