Pre-Race Interview:
Dave Burns: Joey Logano just jumped out of his cup car, and that’s where I want to go first with this, that car running these laps, and now you jump into the pole winning nationwide car, what’s that like?
Joey Logano: It’s night and day, specially here these nationwide cars drive so different, they’ve got so much more downforce and no horsepower so, the bigger the track, the more different they are and our GameStop Toyota is really good and I am really excited about that, I am not sure its good as last week, but well work on it during the race, it might be well have to see, this car is kind of the sister car to last week’s winning car so, well try.
Dave Burns: I want to ask you, your teammate Kyle has the NOS Sponsorship but it seems like you are able to hit a button at the end of these races, and outpace pace him, is it finding another gear? Or is it just saving stuff till the end?
Joey Logano: I think it’s a little bit of both, I think the whole race me and Dave are working back and forth and trying to get it just right and I think we get it good at the end and I think deep down inside I find a little bit more and go.
Interview in Victory Lane
Vince Welch: Joey Logano celebrating with his team, an unlikely victory after early contact with Greg Biffle, when did you feel like maybe you had a chance to win this thing, after the contact with Biffle early on?
Joey Logano: Not till the end, I promise you that, I didn’t think we had a shot at it, after Biffle decided to put us in the wall, apparently that’s the only way he thought he could beat us, but you can’t put this 20 team down, I tell you what, we never quit, we kept digging all day, I definitely didn’t think we had a shot at it, that was just amazing you know, these guys are amazing, I gotta thank the fans, thank GameStop, SportClips, Z-line, Coca-Cola, all the guys back at the shop, who put these together, these awesome race cars and its fun to race. That was the most fun race I’ve ever had in my life, I went to the point of I don’t have a shot at this, I am trying to salvage a top 10 out of it to bringing home a W.
