Joey Logano Nashville 300 Results
The number 20 team was not scheduled to race at the Nashville Superspeedway due to lack of sponsorship. That all changed when Harvest Investments sponsored the car, which gave the much needed funds for the 20 team to run the race in Nashville. The sponsorship came at a critical time, as the number 20 Joe Gibbs Racing team was leading the NASCAR Nationwide Series Owner’s points heading into the Nashville 300.
Logano set the fastest time in qualifying, running over a tenth faster than 2nd place Trevor Bayne. Logano’s lap time was a 30.396, while Trevor’s was a 30.517. Video of Logano’s qualifying run can be seen in the video section of this article.
Logano led the field down to the green, and would lead the first 18 of the 225 laps. Carl Edwards, would pass Logano for the lead on Lap 19, and on Lap 30 teammate Kyle Busch was able to pass Joey. Logano would remain in the third position until the first caution on lap 50 for debris.
The number 20 team would take four tires, and make a wedge adjustment on the first pit stop to tighten the car. Logano would lose four spots on pit road due to a left rear lug nut issue. Pit stops would plague the number 20 team for the remainder of the race.
Logano would restart lap 55 in the 7th position. Logano quickly went to work, and in one lap was able to pick up two positions. From there a long green flag run would ensue. Logano would get by Austin Dillon for the fourth position on lap 80. By lap 92, Logano made a pass on Brad Keselowski for third. Adam Stevens would bring the number 20 Harvest Investments Toyota machine down for a green flag pit stop on lap 119. The team made a trackbar adjustment, filled it up with Sunoco fuel but again issues on the stop resulted in a slow pit stop time of 19.3.
The second caution flag would wave on lap 135 as Steve Wallace spun in turn two. Logano had reported to the team that the car was getting better, and it was the best it had been all day. The team would take fuel only on their stop, and Logano would come out in first off pit road.
Green flag would fly once again on Lap 139 with Logano as the leader but on the next lap a caution came out for debris. Logano would lead the field down to the green once again on Lap 145. Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards were able to pass Joey Logano for the lead on the backstretch.
The fifth caution would fly on lap 168 for debris on the track. Logano pitted from the third position for four tires, and Sunoco fuel. Once again, Joey would lose spots on pit road, this time losing five spots.
Logano would take the restart on Lap 173 from the 8th position. With 49 laps to go Logano was in the fifth position. Logano would finish the race in the 4th position, leading a total of 30 laps. The number 20 car continues to lead the owner’s points, and is 8 points ahead of the number 60 machine owned by Jack Roush.

What’s the next NASCAR Nationwide series race for Joey Logano?
The next scheduled NASCAR Nationwide series race for Joey Logano will be at the Dover International Speedway. GameStop will be back on the car. The 5-Hour Energy 200 will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2011, with coverage beginning at 1 pm eastern time on ESPN.
