Mike Hedrick From Pit Crew Barbeque, otherwise known as “#11 Denny Hamlin Fan” in our Joey Logano Forum, is this Month’s Fan of the Month. Mike along with his wife Michele answer some questions for us.

Why do you like Joey Logano?
We think he will be a winner very soon. No need picking a driver that won’t be a winner cus there are plenty of them.

How did you become a fan of Joey Logano?
Great question. Why does anyone become a fan of a driver? We picked Joey firstly because he is on the Joe Gibb Racing Team. Secondly he is a heck of a driver for a kid and that smile is just the best.

While he is in the number 20 Home Depot Toyota, What race track do you think Joey will mark his first win at?
I’m hoping he grabs one this year and if he does it will be on a [1] Mile Track. Yer guess is as good as mine but it will be late this season and surprise people.

How do you think Joey Logano will do this year and beyond?
He’ll stay in the Top 35 Owner Points for sure but I don’t see him making the Chase… this year. A Top 20 would not be a big surprise to me. He came out a year early so look for him to make the Chase maybe in 2010, no, really this Kid is that good he will catch on with the older guys very quick.

Mike, I know you love BBQ’ing how did you got started in that?
I got started cooking for my friends camping and then at the beach and at Football Tailgating. Next thing I knew I was back with NASCAR Fans and cooking away. Tailgating is my favorite cook other then Competing.

Mike, Tell us a little bit about your tailgating experience, recently you went to Richmond how was that?

At the Richmond Race we met another amazing NASCAR Fan and Tailgater named Allison. Seems she was taking over for her late Father who had always done the family cooking at races. She had everything just right and even more with a smile on her face and love in her heart. Meeting real people with real stories is one of the best things about being Pit Boss for Pit Crew Barbeque.

Is there anything else you guys would like to share with us?

I believe in Jesus. I won’t beat you over the head with my faith but I do like my faith clearly out there. I see my faith in just about everything I do so if you want to know about Mike Hedrick it will be a part of it. I love to talk about it and am open for questions but never argue with people about religion. peace
