Whats your name?

Marissa

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m from San Diego, CA, but I belong in North Carolina. NASCAR is pretty much my escape from the world, and it’s just something that really makes me happy. I love doing nails, and pretty much anything that has to do with shopping and beauty. I’m a hugeeee fan of Paramore. I would not be able to live without my dogs, my family, and my friends. I am very blessed. <3

What is your favorite food and drink?

I love Italian food. My favorite would have to be either chicken alfredo, or chicken parm. I love Mountain Dew, especially the Code Red kind.

How did you get into NASCAR?

NASCAR has always been a huge part of my family, especially on my dad’s side. His dad, (my grandpa), owned a race team that raced in the Baja 1000, so my dad and his siblings were always around racing since they were really little. I actually didn’t really start getting into NASCAR until a couple of years ago, when I first met Joey, haha. I’ve been a diehard fan ever since! And, I have so many new friends and goals in life, because of NASCAR. :)

How did you become a fan of Joey Logano?

Really, all it took was for me to meet him. He was super cute, funny, and really nice. And, he was a good driver. After being a fan for years now, and seeing most of his interviews, he actually reminds me of myself, haha. At first, he was the reason why I started watching NASCAR, but of course, I eventually fell in love with everything about the sport.

What’s your favorite race track?

I would have to say Phoenix International Raceway. It’s where I met Joey for the first time, and it’s just a really cool track. I also love Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte, the short tracks, and the road courses. Also, Auto Club Speedway was the first racetrack I had ever been to, and it’s my hometrack, so I naturally love it there. :)

Have you met Joey Logano, and how did it go?

Yes. About 5-7 times, and I feel so bad saying that, because I know some really big fans like me, but they haven’t had the chance to meet Joey yet. Joey is one of the most fan-friendly drivers out there. Another reason to love him! :)

Do you have any other favorite drivers besides Joey?

Yes. I’m a big fan of Trevor Bayne, Brad Keselowski, the Dillon brothers, Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Dale Jr., Kasey Kahne. There’s only a few drivers that I don’t like, haha. And then of course, the legends like Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip, etc.

Thanks for the interview Marissa!

February 2012 Fan of the Month

Pedro, Where are you from?

Sao Paulo, Brazil

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a 25 year old Brazilian, who is married to a beautiful woman called Yasmhin. I am an entrepreneur of the real estate business.

What is your favorite food and drink?

My preferred food is traditional Brazilian Churrasco (BBQ), with a nice cold beer. After that I would say traditional Pizza from Sao Paulo, that I believe is one of the best in the world.

How did you get into NASCAR?

To be truthful, I am a huge fan of Drag racing here in Brazil. When I am relaxing, I am watching the SPEED Channel here in Brazil, and that is how I turned into a NASCAR fan. Little by little I began to learn about the culture of these drivers and the passion of the sport. With that, I got myself involved in simulation racing through iRacing. For the past 3 years I have been exploring at the maximum this style of NASCAR racing. Today I am one of the top virtual drivers that Brazil has to offer in oval racing.

How did you become a fan of Joey Logano?

I turned into a Joey fan after learning about each driver. I learned that he was the youngest driver to enter the top level of NASCAR racing. With that, I started to follow him more closely, and I began to see that he has huge potential to be a champion, its only a matter of time.

What’s your favorite race track?

My favorite track in NASCAR is Daytona due to its history and velocity. I love the close finishes the track has at the finish line.

Have you met Joey Logano, and how did it go?

I have not yet had the opportunity to personally meet Joey because I live in Brazil. When it is possible for me to be in the United States to watch a Sprint Cup race, I will try to take a photo with Joey to have as a memory of my first race.

Do you have any other favorite drivers besides Joey?

Yes. Nelson Piquet Jr is a big driver, as well as Miguel Paludo in the Camping World Truck Series. Pietro Fittipaldi who runs late models and is a young kid with alot of potential, especially given the huge family history of great drivers like Emerson Fittipaldi. I believe these Brazilian drivers have a huge future in NASCAR.

Thanks for the interview Pedro!

Whats your name?

Reba Robinson

Where are you from?

Dongola, Illinois

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Well, I’m 15 years old. I’m a high school sophomore. I enjoy watching NASCAR, singing, and drawing. I like to do all the things every teenager does like hang out with my friends, text, Facebook, Twitter, and things like that. But I’m most definitely different from every other teenage girl I know, because I love NASCAR so much. I also like to go hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and just getting down and dirty from time to time. I can be a little bit crazy at times, and I love making jokes and just having fun.

What is your favorite food and drink?

Ironically, one of my favorite foods is Chicken Parmesan (like Joey) and mac-n-cheese. My favorite drink is a simple Dr. Pepper.

How did you get into NASCAR?

Well really I was born into NASCAR. My family was watching races long before I was born. So when I came along they brought me right into it. And ever since then, nothing has come before NASCAR.

How did you become a fan of Joey Logano?

I really became a Joey fan his first year in the Nationwide Series. I had heard of him some before then, but never really did any research of him cause I was pretty young. But after his first Nationwide race, I was hooked.

What’s your favorite race track?

My favorite track is Talladega. I’ve been a couple times and it’s just so big and so much fun.

Have you met Joey Logano, and how did it go?

Yes I have met Joey, and it was by far the best day of my life. I met him at Nashville back in April for the Nationwide race. We had pit passes and I caught him as he was walking by. He was seriously the nicest person I have ever met. He signed a picture I had drawn of him, and he signed my Joey shirt I was wearing. And when we took a picture, the first one didn’t turn out good so he came back and took another so we could make it better. (and he was even cuter in person)

Do you have any other favorite drivers besides Joey?

I do have other favorite drivers. Trevor Bayne is one, of course. But I also like Austin Dillon, Parker Kligerman, and Cole Whitt. And I’ve liked Kasey Kahne since I was a little kid, so I can never forget him. But Joey is always first no matter what.

Thanks for the interview Reba!
