Victory Lane At Pocono Raceway with Joey Logano
This past Saturday, I watched Joey Logano cross the finish line as a winner at the famed Pocono Raceway in the Arca Pocono 200, and as a surprising treat, I was fortunate enough to get a personal invite from Logano’s parents to go down to victory lane to join Joey and the home depot crew in celebrating the win. Before we went down, we watched Logano put on a show for the fans with a fantastic burnout. I snapped a quick picture as everyone watched in excitement. Then we made our way threw a tunnel underneath the track towards victory lane. I would say it took us about 3 minutes to get to the victory lane.

I was pretty excited once we got to victory lane, and of course Joey and his car was already there, but he was still inside his car, waiting until he got the “go” command from the media that it was time for him to climb out of the car. When Joey got the go signal he climbed out of the car, all smiles as usual to the attention of his happy crew.

It was then that he was interviewed by a member of the Speed TV.

Followed up by a few more interviews, and alot of photos, as well as the usual hat swapping that goes on in victory lane for all the different photos that need to be taken for sponsors and other obligations.

Joey was a busy man in victory lane, still he was kind enough to come over and meet me, and yes, take another photo. He also autographed the home depot hat that was given to me out in victory lane. Of course, he remained busy, heading into the media room later on in the day.

I had a blast that day, and I want to thank again the Logano Family for inviting me to victory lane. I also want to thank Joey Logano himself for taking the time to meet me. The autographed hat and photo were both awesome! I’ll admit I was a bit shy and speechless as I truly could not believe my eyes. There I was, in victory lane watching Joey celebrate his win! It was a phenomenal experience, and one that I will never forget.

OMG…you are so lucky to have gotten the experience to do that. I’ve heard that Joey’s parents are truely awesome people and very nice all the way around. I watched the race on television and I have to say that his burnout was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Congrats to you for being able to witness it all in person and Victory Lane and to Joey for his win.
