I don't order takeout. I usually make a simple nacho dish but I wouldn't really consider it tailgating food, atleast I don't think so anyway. Smile

RE: Win an Autographed Joey Logano Hat for Tailgating Recipe!
Hm, okay. Try this one. It's a nacho dip, really simple.

-A bag of Tostitos Nachos, any kind. I use mini bites, its easier.
-A jar of Cheesewiz or your favorite kind of cheese.
-No bean chili or beans if you prefer them.

1. Put the no bean chili into a medium sized bowl and heat in microwave for 1 minute.
2. Add a large spoonfull of Cheesewiz and heat for 2 minutes.
3. Remove and stir until cheese is blended.
4. Grab some chips and enjoy.

You can heat it more or add more cheese to your liking. Smile

This is how we make ribs around here Big Grin

Two full racks of pork ribs.
Make a dry rub consisting of: Brown sugar, crushed red pepper, and a tablespoon or two of cayenne pepper (we like 'em spicy).
Put the ribs in a smoker for several hours, make sure not to overcook because dry meat is really terrible, take out and enjoy.

RE: Win an Autographed Joey Logano Hat for Tailgating Recipe!
Here is my Ribs Recipe I use Below. It is awesome and the ribs always turn out so awesome and tender.

Prep: 30 mins Cook: 2 hours. Ready in: 10 Hours and 30 Minutes.

Ingredients
3 cups pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons mustard powder
1/3 cup ketchup
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons ground ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 pounds baby back pork ribs
1 (18 ounce) bottle of PitCrew barbeque sauce

Cooking Instructions
In a large baking dish, mix together the pineapple juice, brown sugar, mustard powder, ketchup, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, and soy sauce. Season with cloves, ginger, garlic, and cayenne pepper. Cut ribs into serving size pieces, and place into the marinade. Cover, and refrigerate, turning occasionally, for 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (80 degrees C). Cook ribs in marinade for 1 1/2 hours, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Preheat grill for medium heat.

Lightly oil grate. Grill ribs for 15 to 20 minutes, basting with barbecue sauce, and turning frequently until nicely glazed.

It's an awesome recipe and I hope yall enjoy. Go Joey Go! I forgot to post a picture but Here is a Picture of My Ribs on the Grill I took a few weeks back below. I'm glad I saved that pic haha its gonna come in good use now.

RE: Win an Autographed Joey Logano Hat for Tailgating Recipe!
hey, this is my dad's tailgating recipe:
(i'll try and get a picture as fast as I can)

Slow Cooked Baby Back Ribs

Mix together garlic salt, pepper, Dijon Mustered, onion salt, little bit of BBQ sauce until your taste. Hand rub.

Cook for 1 1/2 hours wrapped in tin foil on medium heat, w/ middle burner off.

then cook 1 1/2 hours out of the foil - same as above.

marinate again w/ above sauce

Meanwhile,
cut 6 carrots lengthwise in half
cut 6 new potatoes in half, pierced
put in a large plastic bag and marinate w/ italian dressing

Cook to Taste

I hope you enjoy this recipe. Its really good!! and I sure hope it will be the winner.

RE: Win an Autographed Joey Logano Hat for Tailgating Recipe!
Tequila anyone?! I'm a tequila girl so, my recipe(s) feature my favorite nectar in them...

I MUST HAVE THIS HAT! My local Seacoast NH newspaper had him on the front page, with the biggest lobster I've seen in a very long time, after he won at Loudon in June. Great shot, of a great guy Smile

The marinade is spicy, sweet, and tangy from mangos, lime, chipotle chiles, honey, and ginger. It gets an added kick from tequila, but you may omit it (BUT WHAT'S THE POINT! Or... just sip it while cookin' - mmmmm). Plan in advance to marinate the ribs 15 minutes at the least, and 8 hours optimum for best flavor and tenderness.
Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hours,

Ingredients:

6 lb beef ribs or your favorite ribs
Fiery Mango Marinade:
1 large fresh ripe mango
2 Tbsp chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
2 Tbsp oyster sauce
2 Tbsp honey
6 cloves garlic, finely minced
1/4 cup finely minced ginger
1/4 cup chopped cilantro sprigs
Preparation:

Remove the membrane from the underside of the ribs. Then place the ribs in a rectangular dish or baking pan.

To make the marinade, peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the seed. Combine the mango flesh and chipotle chiles in a food processor fitted with a metal blade and puree. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and combine with the ketchup, tequila, lime juice, oyster sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and cilantro.

Makes 2 cups.

Coat the ribs evenly on both sides with half the marinade. Marinate the ribs refrigerated for at least 15 minutes. For more flavor, marinate for up to 8 hours. Remove the remaining marinade to serve as a sauce for the ribs.

To grill the ribs, if using a gas barbecue, preheat to medium (325 F). If using charcoal or wood, prepare a fire. Occasionally during cooking, baste the ribs with extra marinade, stopping 15 minutes before removing the ribs from the grill.

Make sure you serve a good aged tequila along side... ohhhhhhh Smile

Thanks for the opportunity Mike, and keep up the great work!
Katie
(who just moved from seacoast NH, to Davidson NC - yeeeeehaw!)

RE: Win an Autographed Joey Logano Hat for Tailgating Recipe!
Ok here it is and everyone else i'm sorry but you'll have to settle for 2nd place

The Ultimate pit BBQ Experience with out the BBQ!

That's right mine is so awesome i don't even need a barbe ha ha

Kraft dinner and hot dogs

You Will need

1.Kraft Dinner
2.Hot Dogs

1.Find a Pot that you can cook the kraft dinner in

2.Boil water in the pot that you have found for the Kraft dinner

3.Once Water is at a boil, open box of Kraft Dinner and dump it in the pot *note* remember to remove the cheese package other wise it will fall into the boiling water and you will have soggy cheese and nobody likes soggy cheese..at least i don't.

4.Let the KD boil from 8 to 10 minutes stirring often so the noddles don't stick to the bottom of the pot.

Hot Dogs

Now the Hot dogs can be done two different ways

1.Cut them up and toss them in to boil along with the kd or

2.Microwave them!!! Yes, i know total geniusSmile

Here are the step by step hot dog Microwave instuctions

Step 1

Place hot dog(s) in the microwave on a plate or if it's clean enough right on the mircowave plate

Step 2

Close the Mircowave door

Step 3

Press the number 2 then press 0 and then 0 again followed by Start

A magical light will come on and you will be able to watch you hot dogs cook as the turn around and around and around

*Note* some Microwaves you have to press the time in before you close the door to press start, mine is like this.

Now if you want buns but you don't have any i suggest toast or bread as a good subsitute.

Toasting

1.Place Toast(s) in Toaster or Toaster oven

2.If you have multiple toaster slots make sure they are all on and not just one side.

3.Press the toaster lever down and make sure the toaster is at your desired setting from light brown to dark brown.

Now by now your Kraft Dinner is done and ready to be strained do do so simply follow these important steps

1.Dump KD into strainer until water goes through leaving only the KD inside, if you don't have a strainer use the lid of the pot and dump it into the sink leaving a crack open for the water to come out.

2. tear open the cheese package and dump it into the KD and stir

3.Add some milk

4.Add some butter

5.Stir.

Now that you have your kraft Dinner and hot dogs you are able to enjoy the race and you just saved on propane.
