Logano’s Post-Race Thoughts

“Needless to say, this was not the kind of night we wanted with the Home Depot Toyota. I don’t know if there was something wrong with the car or what, but we kept freeing it up and freeing it up all night long and it really made no difference. With the adjustments that we made, I should have been spinning out every corner but the car was plowing tight all night long. It just never got better. We will take the car back to the shop and look it over real good and hopefully find out something that was wrong from the get go because nothing really made sense tonight. Just not the night we wanted or needed. We just have to put this behind us and head on to Talladega and try to claw our way back into the point standings.”

Joey is starting to sound a lot like Reed Sorenson was back in the day and we all know what has happened to him. No more excuses, i know its tough but he has been in 4 years now and his team mates compete for wins or top 10's every week while he is a lap down nearly every race, figure it out Joe or you will be starting and parking very soon!

I think Talledega is a more better track but he gets caught up in aloe of other people's mistakes! He's 15th in the standings! Good luck #20 team!

I agree. Stop making excuses. Every race is the same. The 20 team is not where they should be. I thought Ratcliff was a cure but it hasn't changed. Joey is not going to be in the HD car next year and might not be in cup.

Dega is fun to watch but it solves nothing, Joey could be running 25th a lap down all year and win and Dega...then he'd just go back to finishing a lap down at the other tracks. Dega is a luck track.

No, your right! Joey needs to start picking it up or I said this many times, that he won't drive the 20 car! I thought Jason would be a BIG change for Joey! But its seems that Jason is just like Zippy! To me, Zippy always gave Joey crappy cars! At least he is doing well in the Nationwide Series! I think he will have a ride in the Nationwide Sereis! And maybe go for a title! Smile) I also think that Joey was put in the car at a VERY young age! He was 19! If this season doesn't do well, I think he will be in Nationwide and stay there for a couple of years and then go back to cup! I just hope that he will do better in the future! Hate to see him lose a job! Good luck #20 team! Smiling

Go Joey and Brad!! Heart #22 & #2!

The more I think about it a veteran like Mike Ford may have been a better choice for Joey

Yeah, winning Dega cures 1 week but it doesn't cure the cars are that bad or Joey can't get it done in Cup. Where are the finishes we saw in the chase back in 2010? How has Joey lost it since that run?

This is what i would do: Kyle is signed until 2015 i think, next year move Joey down to Nationwide and keep him there for 2 seasons. Sign Kurt Busch for 2 years and then following 2015 maybe KBM moves to Cup as a Satellite Gibbs team (like Stewart Haas and Hendrick) Kyle and Kurt drive for KBM and Joey comes back up and gets back in the 20.

Yet they won 8 races and lost the championship in 2010. Let's not let one season be fools goldWink

RE: Richmond 400 - April 28, 2012 - Richmond International Raceway Race Talk
I am not making excuses, I just want to throw this fact out there. I know you can't compare apples to oranges but maybe Joey can have a season like Brad Keselowski had last year. My boyfriend is a big BK fan but he also supports Joey because of me. He was feeling the same way about Brad last year about this time. Brad was 28th in points last year after Richmond with the same issues Joey is facing now. People were hating on Brad (Jimmy Spencer) and saying he was not pulling his weight, etc. But then when him and Paul started going back to a track for a second time they were unstoppable. Brad was 28th in points at this time, and started turning around his season, winning races and he made the chase. I am not saying Joey and Jason are Brad and Paul but I can only hope that Joey and Jason turn it around like them. I mean Carl Edwards last year only won one race and that was Las Vegas the third race of the season and he tied Tony for the championship last year. All Joey needs is a win and then build consistency like Carl did. He is only 15th in points. This is just my thoughts. Sorry for rambling.

It is OK to ramble and have good thoughts and ideas....I hope you are right....I feel bad for Joey and for all us fans, we are so fervent in our hopes and wishes for Joey, it seems like it should turn around soon, he is too good to go back to Nationwide. It would seem like a defeat and how can he hold his head up when he gets kicked out of the #20???? Come on Joey,,,,get a couple of wins or top 5's. We luv ya,,,,,,gws

The thing that Brad seems to have that Joey doesn't is that Killer run over your own mother to win a race attitude. Joey much like his hero Mark Martin seems to be way too nice and i question how bad he wants it. Don't get me wrong i like Joey way bettter then Brad but Brad had it very tough and he is used to scratching and clawing for everything he has so he is used to working extremely hard. Up until the Cup series Joey has had it fairly easy and has won everything and now he is in the top series and is overwhelmed because he never really has had to work this hard for success before.

I agree, hope Joey can pull it around! Hate to see him lose the #20! And another thing Brad did that Joey didn't was Brad won a Nationwide championship and Joey was put in Cup at a VERY young age!
