Pure Michigan 400 - Race Talk
Quote:HOW BIG WAS WINNING LAST WEEK AND DOES THAT CHANGE YOUR OUTLOOK GOING INTO THIS WEEKEND?

“It was huge. We have been so close the last month to winning a couple of Sprint Cup Series races. So to win, and sweep the weekend after winning the XFINITY Series race on Saturday, gave this team the confidence that we can win the race, not just be close to winning them. But this weekend is another weekend. It’s a different track, a different aero package and a different style of racing. It’s kind of an unknown. We know what this package did at Indy, but Michigan is a totally different. It’s wide and has more ‘on throttle time.’ So we don’t really know what we will have. But we have won there before, so there is no doubt that we can win there again this weekend. Right now, this team is on it.”

Starting P10, and the cars seem to be very loose with the high drag. Track position is going to be extremely important, as the cars seem to not be able to pass well.

Cheering on: Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, JH Nemechek, Justin Allison, Will Power, Hélio Castroneves, Juan Pablo Montoya, Simon Pagenaud, Lewis Hamilton, and Bruno Senna.

Yep, race was awful. I applaude Nascar for trying to make racing better but this was epic failure. Bring the Kentucky package full time on the cookie cutters. Now onto the best track we have
