No Rookie of the year contender in 2010?
It looks like for the first time since the 1955 season, Nascar won't have a rookie of the year contender in 2010. Most likely the Roush pair for Colin Braun and Ricky Stenhouse will be putting pressure on David Ragan to have a much better season in cup, i see one of those two as the next rookie of the year winner perhaps in 2011 or 2012.

Eric Darnell he'll be running full time next year and he has only ran 5 races so he can run for it.

Humm so this would be a great opportunity perhaps for a low budget team to just get a rookie in there to perhaps pick up a easy to earn Rookie of the year title, and some extra money/exposure from it?

If there was no one, i'd say have Danica go for it! so what if she's horrible if she's the only one she'd win it and then they say she'd be the first women in history to win the rookie of the year award, it's an easy lay up lol

That would be really funny if a Start and Park Rookie won.

With so many teams being unable to get funding rookies are so hard to come by in the Cup Series. Expect Allgaier, Braun, maybe even Steven Wallace to be full time in 2011.

Steven Wallace may go to Sprint Cup series with his dad's team is the only way I see it.

That's really cool D, I loved seeing Craven's pass on Kurt Busch when he was driving the Tide car. I wasn't watching Nascar then but i've seen the video.

RE: No Rookie of the year contender in 2010?
When i said start and park team for ya well here you go.. Kevin Conway can easly win this thing now with no one else entering for rookie of the year

Front Row Motorsports will run under the Ford Motorsports banner in 2010 with Travis Kvapil driving the #34 with Steven Lane as his crew chief. Kevin Conway will pilot the #37 Ford with a crew chief to be named. Conway, 31, ran 12 races with the Extenze sponsorship in the Nationwide Series last season for three different owners -- Joe Nemechek, Robert Richardson and Dusty Whitney. His best finish was 15th at Kentucky in the #87 Chevy. The short list for Conway's crew chief candidates include Peter Sospenzo, who worked with Tony Raines on the #37 last season, as well as Larry Carter and Derrick Findley.(FoxSports), so looks like with Conway running, he will run for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year award, the only driver, so far, eligible.(1-1-2010)

Kurt was my driver at that time and that was an awesome race. Craven had no chance to win that race if Kurt hadn't lost his power steering with 50 to go.
