NASCAR UPDATE: Bump Drafting Rules Removed so more action and bumping and rubbing, Yellow Line stays for now, Larger Restrictor Plates this year for faster speeds and also the Spoiler comes back and Wing flys away. Gonna be a FAST season folks.

How would fans get hurt? They are keeping the Inside Yellow Line.

Thats on the last lap though coming to the finish line.... on normal laps during the race the yellow line is actually a good thing.

Imagine a car trying to pass bellow the yellow line before entering turn 3, they are side by side, the car on the apron won't be able to make the corner, and would likely wreck alot of cars.

RE: NASCAR Changes for 2010
Bumping was still going on just not as much and that is why we saw single file racing. I am not sure how much difference it makes other than you will have some cats who don't know how to do it well wrecking some folks causing less and less cats on the track throughout the race. But this is what us fans wanted so........

RE: NASCAR Changes for 2010
yeah the yellow line rule needs to be there at the plate tracks, they don't need to be going down into the grass at those speeds. There is plenty of room on the track if they can't find a way to get around someone within the playing area then they don't deserve to win. Taking out the yellow line makes as much sense as allowing football players to run out of bounds in order to score a touch down lol. I'd love to see Reggie Bush run into the sidelines and into the stands and take the long way around through the crowd and down into the end zone on the other side lol..heck while were at it why don't we allow kobe to sink the ball from anywhere in the building.
