I hope we get to race today cause I don't wanna miss this race, ithink it will be fun and I also have school tomorrow, so that will suck if it doesn't get to run today. Mike Helton said that there going to try and run it today oaf it's possible.

its 16 place and you need to be more positive or get off cause thats kinda rude to be putting him down like that.

I don't agree with SB very often but I don't think what was said is all that bad. I am pretty flustered by seeing this car run 18 to 25 week in and week out. It is not fun watching at all right now.

RE: Geico 400 - September 18, 2011 - Chicagoland Speedway Race Talk
I'm not putting him down. I want an explanation. People seem to forget.. Joey has some of the best equipment on the circuit. He also has a 2 TIME Championship crew chief who has plenty of experience with the race tracks.

Its one thing to have the driver and crew-chief unfamilar with the cars, tracks, rules, equipment etc. But in this case. Joey has 2 out of 3 things needed to win. He has a experienced crew chief. He has some of the best equipment around.

Its one thing to have an engine blow, or to get in a wreck. I can understand that. Im getting sick and tired of this whole "We couldnt get the car handling right". 42 other cars can do it. Why cant Joey and Zippy?

Their chase run is OVER. They need to win races now. They need to figure out how to win races. IF they wait til next year it will be to late, and once again they will not make the chase.

Im not going to Pat Joey on the back for finishing 17th. I expect him to do alot better than always going backwards. Im not a female. My perspective is different. All these female Joey fans say how cute he is and how much they love him. This is a sport. I dont care how he looks. I want him to win. Consider me on the side of Home Depot.. I want results.

Good Points SB,,,,,Joey was such a winner coming up thru the ranks, you have to wonder if he has lost his bravado, his courage, his go-get-um state of mind????? He has had a couple of huge wrecks in his early days, has he been intimidated???? By the way, I am a female senior citizen and I think Joey is cute and I love him in a motherly way,,,,,BUT,,,,I still want him to push the envelope and WIN once in a while.......gws

Joey needs a change. Thats the explanation. Junior has the best equipment in NASCAR yet he cannot win. This sport is having the complete package and if u don't you can't get it done.

RE: Geico 400 - September 18, 2011 - Chicagoland Speedway Race Talk
Here is the best answer I have found, coming straight from Zippy.

Q: What about Joey (Logano)? He's only 21 years old, but he had 16 top-10 finishes last year and has only six so far this season.

A: It's like we always take a step forward then take two steps back to figure something else out. We've struggled with the tire on the intermediate (tracks) this year. They've opened the stagger (diameter between the right side and left side tires — the more stagger you have, the more it makes your car turn) and done a few things that have not played into our hand or his comfort and security of the way he drives. The sidewall's a little softer, so the tire moves around a little bit more. For somebody that really drives off the seat of his pants … it seems like it affects those guys a little bit more. I have not been able to get it to the point where he feels comfortable about putting it on that edge. Our short-track program — we've definitely gotten better there. Our qualifying on the big tracks with two poles this year has certainly picked up. We've just got to find something to get him comfortable on these big, fast places.
