This is where Joey had his 1st big wreck, I believe her barrell rolled many times, it is a horrific sight. Hope he has overcome that fear, hope he can do good this weekend, we need to see some improvement. gws

Joey has nothing left for Nationwide. He has won and we all know he can win a championship. He has, IMO, nothing to prove in the minors.

Well, not many owners have all drivers in the top 5, there isn't enough room, in the first place.....JGR is lucky to have 2 great drivers and lucky to have a rookie, Joey, to work with and get him to the top. I doubt there is any owner where every driver is so perfect. You have your best, your average and then your worst, it is rare that anyone can have all the best. Be patient, Joey will be the BEST,,,,some day !!!!! gws

Hey Mama, I hear you and I have watched Joey since he was 15. We all know he has the talent. But a couple of things we need to understand. One, Joey is not a rookie. He has been in the sport now for 4 years so it isn't like he is going to tracks for the first time. I think Ratcliff said it the best and what we have speculated. Ratcliff stated he and Kyle talk the same lingo and that i why they were so uccessful together. Ratcliff and Joey dont so it is throwing a curve for him to get what Joey wants. The question is, is Joey giving the correct feedback?
Two, this is a results based business and when you are in a top ride, results are expected. Everyone can have a down year. Look at Denny in 2011, Biffle in 2011 and now look at them. Look at the 99 and 24 seasons this year. It happens. BUT the ride Joey is in and year 4, results (i mean wins) is expected. I know the sport is tough and i know Joey is still young but we all need to set that aside and say why?
Third, HD pays the bills and sponsors put the driver in the car, not the team owner. HD has been killed for 4 years now with Lowe's. The first year they knew it was going to be a mulligan and even into year 2. BUT, Joey has an awesome run at the end of 2010 and it looked like the success was coming, but it hasnt at all. Joey needs to win and win fast.

Joe and JD want Joey in the car. They have a lot vested into Joey and it would mean more than anything to them to have a homegrown talent rise and be the best at in the sport. BUT they also know HD leaves at end of season if Joey doesnt succeed or they don't have a driver that HD wants. Is Kurt the answer? Most say no because of his atttitude. Yet Stewart was there! Kurt wins, competes and has a championship. He also has run ins with other drivers that brings huge press to the media and HD would love that. Sponsors want the BIG time bang for their buck and Kurt brings that. Newman is the other FA but he is not going to leave SHR, no way no how. Stewart will get him signed. So there is an option out there that takes JOey's seat if he doesnt get it done and fast.
Again, I love watching Joey win. Saturday's are fun and seeing him win is great but that is Saturday and Sunday's is where my money is spent. I want Joey to shut up all the haters. I want to have people calling and texting me saying congrats on Joey's win. That would be awesome. But right now he isnt even close to that and that is frustrating to me. As fans, we want ou driver/team to be upfront contending and winning and Joey isn't doing that for us. That is why I say Joey's days are numbered at JGR
That leaves what ride, the 22? People speculate Joey could go there if he is released. Really? Allmendinger made the Open this year and has led laps. Yes Joey is higher in points but at least the Dinger is running fast up front. Joey needs that if anyone thinks he could get in that car next year if not at JGR.
Mama, not attacking you here at all, please know that. I am just trying to put things in perspective for people.

Hi fellow VT'r,,,you make great points,,,I am just a neophite at this, you help me understand the total game of NASCAR racing. Yes, Joey needs to get some gas in his ass......he is just so good and lovable, I hate to see him go backwards in the whole scheme of things. Maybe he will pull out a miracle or put all his skills to work in the next 5 months and prove us all wrong.....wouldn't that be great??? Stop the rain......gws

The 22 might not be that bad if you think about it, they will have Roush Yates power and look What going to Penske did for Brad.

Hey CJF, not saying the 22 would be bad. Ford will be great for that organization. All I am saying is what is Joey doing or what does Joey bring that the Dinger isn't bringing at this point? That's all. Right now I say nothing so why would we assume Joey has a chance over there?
I want Joey at JGR. Yesterday was awesome. Need that today!
