Do or die in 2012
Simply put if Joey has another year like last year he's done in terms of a top ride.

In my opinion its going to come down to what the sponsors want and availability of free agents at the time of contract renewal.

It´s up to the team to give Joey a good car to work with, and then it´s Joey´s job to give the team and sponsosr the results they want from him. I think he´ll do well this season.

Heart Vamos Joey!!! Big Grin

Oh no doubt Jean, sponsors are who decides who sits in the cars. Not many realize that. Kurt signed one year with Phoenix so there will be plenty. Plain and simple, HD wanted Edwards. He wins, competes for the chase and runs up front. Nothing less will do IMO.
I was asking others opinions with this question but I guess this was a loaded one. I think HD expects that. Hoping all the changes will make this happen

RE: Do or die in 2012
remember back to 2010 when mcmurray signed with ganassi and bass pro was supposed to leave at the end of the year..mcmurray ended up winning 3 races and the sponsor was satisfied so they stayed.this is the year joey needs to break through or i'll agree it won't look good.no worries, though i've got faith in the team.

RE: Do or die in 2012
There was an article a few weeks back on nascar.com. Where to paraphrase, Joey said that since he's in a contract year, he wasn't so sure he was going to resign with JGR. That essentially he wanted to wait a way all his options. So I wonder if he might be looking to leave JGR? Nobody wants to be the 3rd wheel, and it's obvious Joey is the 3rd driver, and gets the 3rd best stuff.

So a contract year, Joey wanting to see what options are out there, new crew chief who wants to prove he belongs = a great year.

I see him winning 2x and making the chase as the 10th place driver.

Looking for the follow Logano cars: '09 white gold, '09 New Hampshire raced win white gold, '11 copper e-point

A lot of encouraging news and results from the test in Daytona. Looking forward to Speedweeks and Shooutout. I am liking the things the 20 Team has done so far and looking forward to JGR being better this year.

I think 2 wins and chase berth are very attainable. As for Joey looking outside JGR, there is a caveat to that. He certainly has to run better in order for sponsors and owners to look his way so he needs to work on home before he can look outisdeWink. Just my $.02
