2010 Schedule
I sent an email to one of the GameStop representatives and he said they will have the schedule of races Joey will run in by early next week with GameStop Big Grin

So far though... from what I've seen Joey will run Daytona and Bristol, just not sure on the others for now....

RE: 2010 Schedule
I really wish he was running the whole season, though Sad he deserves a legitimate chance at a Nationwide championship.

I hope this is right because last year it wasn't. I'm thinking about going to Montreal.

RE: 2010 Schedule
I'm all for winning but i don't agree with running the full Nationwide season just to get a championship. Joey has nothing to prove in that series and if you look at the drivers who have run the full season in NW it takes away so much of there time in the cup series. Edwards and Busch would probably be higher in the standings last year had they not been bouncing around like ping pong balls in the garage last year. It's no wonder why the top cup drivers last year focused mostly on cup. It's cool to run some races but the focus should always be at the top.

RE: 2010 Schedule
Joey had one of his best races at Richmond with a 4th place effort, he was the fastest nearly all of the second half of the race. The only benefit of running the Nationwide series races is to see the track if your not familiar with it like most rookies are. Joey ran like a champ in the cup race and he did that because he only concentrated on the cup car. It helped at the start but you take Joey out of Nationwide and only put him in cup you'll start to see success, I know youy all want to see Joey race more and so do it but he's got nothing to prove over there. I say 5 to 10 NW races Max.

Because it just is, look at Kyle and Edwards and anyone else who runs both, they get burnt out. The last few races where Joey has done well in cup are the races where he ran only the cup race that weekend, Richmond last weekend he had the fastest car the second half of the race and finished 4th and he ran 2nd back in Martinsville in March. Show me a past champion and i'll show you someone that runs little to no Nationwide races. The only use the Nationwide series has is for a driver who is in his first couple years that needs extra track time after that it's a pointless distraction. I know everyone wants to see him race more but he needs to concentrate on the top series now if he's going to be as successful as we know he can be. Dividing his time is not the way to do it. I'm sure there's fans in ASA and USAR that would love to see Joey there again, should we put him in there too?? ridiculous.

I hope not

Why do you think its to much?

RE: 2010 Schedule
I agree, maybe Joey needs to save up all his energy for the Sprint races. However, it would be nice to see him in a few Nationwide, for more track experience. GWS
